Why settle for boring coffee when there are so many good places around to get some fresh-roasted coffee and bakery items to go with it? Check out our three favorite coffee shops in the Fort Myers area.
1. The Grind Coffee House and Roaster LLC
14261 Tamiami Trail
The Grind isn’t just a coffee house. They roast their own beans and make some of the best coffee and tea in the city. Come in and have a cup of coffee and a bagel, or take home some freshly roasted beans to make your own java. The Grind also sells the best equipment for making delicious, aromatic coffee: coffee and espresso makers, milk frothers, water filters, and de-scaling agents to keep your coffee maker clean. They also make muffins, bagels, cookies, pastries and sandwiches for a late breakfast or early lunch. And while you’re there you can check your email or chat with friends on the complementary Wi-Fi.
2. Bennett's Fresh Roast
2011 Bayside Parkway
Bennett's is owned and operated by radio personality, David C. Bennett. Breakfast is served daily until 11 a.m. with fresh coffee and donuts, pancakes and breakfast sandwiches. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with chicken, tuna, and cold cut sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts. Try their signature dish, the Donut Dog. It's a freshly baked long john, split and filled with a smoked hot dog, chili sauce and cheese, and topped with honey mustard. Tea lovers can treat themselves to hot or iced teas as well as homemade cherry pie or walnut brownies. Take advantage of the free Wi-Fi to catch up on your email.
3. Mon Paris Coffee Shop and Bakery
13550 Reflections Parkway #4-401
Mon Paris Coffee Shop is styled after a classic French bistro by French Baker Andre Gratesol. Mon Paris brings the essence of the French bakery to the residents of Fort Myers. Not only do they serve coffee and tea, but also freshly baked artisan breads, baked goods, crepes, French toast, smoothies and sandwiches for lunch or a late breakfast. Sip a cup of your favorite espresso with a raisin Danish on the outdoor patio and watch the world go by. They don’t have Wi-Fi, but with the beautiful relaxing atmosphere you won't even miss it.
Fort Myers has a lot to offer and coffee shops are just one of the city's best amenities. Also remember Springs Apartments has a great coffee bar on site in the clubhouse.
