If states had official sports, Colorado's would be snow skiing. Loveland Ski Area's proximity to the greater Denver area makes it a popular location for winter fun. There are two separate base areas: the Valley is exclusively for beginners, while the Basin offers terrain for all levels of experience. Group and private lessons are available for ages 4 and up.
