There's something about splashing around in the water that brings out the inner kid in everyone. Waterparks offer a wide variety of activities to satisfy everyone in your family, no matter what their ages. There's no better way to cool off on those hot Texas days.

Corpus Christi is home to Hurricane Alley, a lively waterpark that will keep your family entertained for hours. In addition to the main attractions, Hurricane Alley maintains a calendar packed with special events and giveaways so that every visit is a different experience.

Here’s a closer look at the exciting features and activities found at Hurricane Alley. Which one will your kids want to visit first?

Whataburger Field

As if the waterpark itself wasn’t enough, Hurricane Alley is the only facility in the country connected to a professional baseball stadium. The park is adjacent to Whataburger Field, home of the Double-A Corpus Christi Hooks, a Houston Astros affiliate. The Diamond is a baseball-themed play area with balls, bats and gloves that spray water on visitors as they round the bases.

Water Attractions

Whether you want to ride the wild waves or enjoy a leisurely float through the park, you will find it among the attractions of Hurricane Alley.

  • Cat 5 is the centerpiece of the park. This six-story water slide includes two-person tubes so you and a friend can share a thrilling ride through the twists and turns. Momentum is a junior version that is half the height, making it perfect for younger children.
  • Hang ten on the Shredder, a surf simulator for body boarding, flow boarding and surfing. Instructions and private lessons are available for guests regardless of their level of experience.
  • Your kids will love challenging each other to ride the four-lane racing slide Storm Chaser.
  • Storm Surge is a 12,000-square-foot wave pool that recreates the experience of playing in the ocean.
  • Enjoy a change of pace drifting down Gulf Stream, a lazy river that winds throughout the park.

Dive-in Movies

On Tuesday evenings Hurricane Alley turns into an open-air movie theater. A screen is set up next to Storm Surge and the rides remain open so you chill in the water or relax on the sidelines while watching popular big-name films.
